All teachers are licensed Kindermusik® educators by Kindermusik International. Each teacher's primary focus is your child and your child's musical education. SHIRLEY BOENING has maintained a private piano studio in College Station for 28 years and has taught Kindermusik for 18 years. She is the owner and director of Kindermusik of College Station-Bryan and is licensed by Kindermusik International. Ms. Boening is also certified in the areas of applied piano and music education by the Music Teachers National Association. She is a faculty member of and adjudicator for the National Piano Guild of Piano Teachers and is a member of the Piano Guild’s Hall of Fame. Ms. Boening obtained her degree from Texas Lutheran University where she studied with Anita Windecker. CHRIS RODE BORCHARDT has maintained a private piano studio in College Station for the past 21 years and has taught Kindermusik for the past 12 years. Ms. Borchardt graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music history with a specialization in piano. Ms. Borchardt has also taught music at St. Thomas Early Learning Center for ten years. She is a faculty member and adjudicator for the National Piano Guild of Piano Teachers and the American College of Musicians. She is also certified by the Music Teachers National Association in the areas of music history and music education. SHEILA BRADICICH is a 1994 Texas A & M University graduate. She studied Elementary Education with a minor in music. She has had a love for music since she was a little girl taking piano and dance for most of her childhood and teen years. While at A & M, she studied piano under the direction of Dr. Rose and was a part of the Texas Aggie Wrangler Country and Western Dance Group. Since she started her family, she has taught piano and early childhood music classes while raising and home schooling her four children, including them in musical training as well. She and her family have just moved back to Aggieland after being in the Dallas area for 13 years and she is very excited to be a part of the Kindermusik staff. CHRISTY BRUMBELOW is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, earning a BS in Elementary Education and a BA in Fine Arts with specialization in music. During her college years she was the accompanist for Sunday services at a local church and assisted with the college choir. After college Mrs. Brumbelow taught elementary school for eight years. She was the accompanist for several childrens' choirs and sang with the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church choir in Atlanta for many years before moving to College Station in 2002. Her family has loved being involved in Kindermusik over the last few years. ANGIE BYRD is a native of College Station where she was very involved in choir and theater arts while in public school. She received a BA in Theology and Communications with a minor in Music from Carroll College in Helena, MT. Later, she received a BA in Education with a major in English from Eastern Washington University. While in the Northwest, she directed a children's church choir and teen church choir while teaching private piano. She has also taught in all grade levels in the school system. After returning to College Station, Ms. Byrd enrolled her children in Kindermusik. They are both graduates of Kindermusik. Ms. Byrd obtained her Kindermusik license in 2006. PATTY CREEL earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State University, where she sang with the Phoenix Bach and Madrigal Society. Since moving to the Brazos Valley, she has sung with the Chorale, Chamber Singers, Ancient Ayres and St. Cecelia Consort. She is a former voice student of Walter Foster and studied Early Music with Patti Spain. Ms. Creel and her daughter have enjoyed Kindermusik for six years, starting with Village class at six months. There’s always a Kindermusik CD playing in their car. Her family believes Kindermusik has been the very best place to start preparing her child for success in school and music lessons. Ms. Creel hopes to instill that same love of music in her students. ADRIENNE ROWELL is a native of Arlington, TX. She attended Dallas Baptist University where she studied Vocal Performance with a minor in Education. While at DBU, she was active in Chorale as well as the show choir. She and her husband relocated to College Station in July of 2008. Outside of the studio she is a nanny for three wonderful children and can frequently be seen on stage at The Theatre Company. She is very excited to become a part of the Kindermusik staff and looks forward to enjoying the blessing of music with children. |
